At this time this bill, the Federal Law on Gaming and Raffles, is being well received and in the forthcoming period (of Congress, that begins) in September, it could be presented for the second reading, according to congresswoman Irma Figueroa. Subsequently it would be sent to the Senate as required constitutionally, and by 2005 we could have casinos, she said.
The Consultation Meeting to Discuss the Federal Law on Gaming and Raffles and Other Mexican Tourism Topics, held in Acapulco, concluded on August 6.
