Stephanie Thomas Fagan and her husband recently walked into the Reno Hilton discussing what would happen if they won the Wheel of Fortune Mega Jackpot. Fagan chose a slot machine on which she had won the previous night, won another $125 and was thinking of moving on when the MegaJackpot symbols aligned. She is now $2,540,421 richer.
As the saying goes, you can't buy love. Still, Reno residents Willie and Vickie Balagtas, celebrating their 35th anniversary at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, now have some cash in addition to love. Willie won $2,500 in the $10,000 All Cash Sunday drawing.
Four other recent visitors to the Reno Hilton left with a fat purse. Wiley and Shawn Chandler of Stockton, California, won $32,000 on a Double Diamond casino machine. Gardnerville resident Alycia Woods won $20,080 on a 5-cent Payday Progressive machine. Benjamin and Gloria Cendana of San Jose, Calif., won $15,000. James Ripplinger of Delta, B.C. won $10,000.
