About The Good Samaritan Games Initiative: The Good Samaritan Games Initiative will allow computer game players everywhere to purchase entertaining computer games with the satisfaction of giving back to society at the same time. Independent computer game developer and distributor Xenopi Studios, Inc. believes that its new initiative will lead to big wins for respected charitable causes. The concept behind Good Samaritan Games is simple. The GSG Initiative selects a respected charity or non-profit organization for sponsorship. During the Sponsorship Period, a percentage of profits from all games sold through Xenopi Studios website will be earmarked for the selected Charity. The percentage donated to this charity starts at a minimum of 10%, increasing incrementally (to a maximum of 50%) as sales milestones are attained. At the end of the Sponsorship Period, the total donation will be given to the Charity and a new Sponsored Charity will be selected, starting the process anew. Eric Cha, president and founder of Xenopi Studios, said, We believe that computer games have developed a poor reputation as time wasters and negative influences on society. With the Good Samaritan Games Initiative, we want to show that computer games can be a strong force for good and can affect society in a positive and meaningful way. Unlike many charity events, the Good Samaritan Games Initiative is intended to be a continuous, ongoing program. We are committed to setting an example for other companies to follow. This initiative is something we intend to make a cornerstone of our company mission for the foreseeable future, stated Cha. The Good Samaritan Games Initiative is scheduled to launch in January of 2005, when the first sponsored charity will be announced.Related News:
